Education has always played vital role in the history and growth of Trover Health System. From high school students to health professionals and physicians, Trover offers a wide range of learning opportunities.

Family Practice Residency Program

In December 1971, Trover Health System established a family practice residency program, the first of its kind in the state of Kentucky. The three-year training program is designed for physicians who have already received their medical degree and wish to pursue a specialty in family practice. West Area Health Education Center

The Kentucky West Area Health Education Center in Madisonville places health occupation students from the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky into training rotations in rural hospitals, health departments, clinics and private offices across its 12-county area in western Kentucky. University of Louisville School of Medicine Trover Campus

The Trover Health System/University of Louisville Off Campus Teaching Center offers medical students from the University of Louisville the opportunity to complete the last two years of medical school in a rural community. Trover Health System/Murray State University Program of Anesthesia

Trover Foundation also teams with Murray State University to offer the only program in Kentucky for Nurse Anesthesia Training. After completing the program, graduates hold a masters of science degree from MSU and receive their certification as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
